Honouring the best in Ontario landscape design

Last week, the Landscape Ontario Horticultural Trades Association (LOHTA) announced the winners of its 45th annual Awards of Excellence at an event in Toronto. Judges presented nearly 300 landscape construction, maintenance, and design awards to projects based on qualities such as originality, innovation, and effectiveness of design.

Winners for this year’s multiresidential and industrial commercial construction in the $50,000 to $100,000 range were:

In the same category, but in the $100,000 to $250,000 range, winners were:

Rutherford Contracting won in the category of multiresidential and industrial commercial construction (over $250,000) with a project by Mark Schollen.

Finally, in the same category, but in the range exceeding $250,000, winners were:

Wentworth Landscapes was the sole winner in this year’s Theme Gardens category, recognized for a design by Scott Wentworth.
