Coke Canada Bottling and Broccolini have broken ground on a major expansion of the bottler’s Brampton facility.

The project will add 5,760 m² (62,000 sf) to the 62,245 m² (670,000 sf) site. It will also introduce a state-of-the-art, technology-enabled can line.

The Brampton facility is the company’s largest in Canada. It employs 1,300 people across manufacturing, warehousing, distribution, customer solutions, and sales operations.

Construction will take place alongside active manufacturing, distribution, and logistics operations. Coke Canada Bottling and Broccolini will use phased construction and close co-ordination to keep production running.

The project’s groundbreaking ceremony brought together leaders and employees from both companies. Trades, consulting partners, and other Coke Canada team members also attended.

“We’re committed to growing in Brampton and building a future-ready, multi-generational business,” said Tony Chow, president of Coke Canada Bottling. “This expansion includes a state-of-the-art, technology-enabled can line that will increase local production capacity and help us bring beverage innovation to our customers faster.”

Anthony Broccolini, CEO of Broccolini, called the groundbreaking a milestone for the project.

Coke Canada Bottling has invested more than $230 million in its Brampton manufacturing and distribution operations since becoming an independent business more than seven years ago.

The company expects to complete the expansion in late 2027.
