Hamilton-based architecture and interior design firm Design Partners in Architecture and Interiors (DPAI) secured first place in the TO The Loo! design competition.

TO The Loo! is a Toronto Public Space Committee initiative that was launched to imagine the future of public washrooms in Toronto. It addresses a critical issue in Toronto’s urban landscape—the urgent need for a comprehensive, all-season, and accessible network of public washrooms.

Open to submissions from around the world, TO The Loo! challenged architects, designers, and urban thinkers to reimagine what public washrooms could be and why they matter.
