A patch of land formerly owned by Canada Lands Company has seen Arcadis appointed as lead architect on Turn Group Ltd.’s mixed-use development at 299 Carling Avenue in Ottawa’s west end, which is set to include four mixed-use towers. Arcadis will also deliver civil, traffic, and planning services for the project.

Situated in the rapidly growing area of Little Italy, the project by Turn Group Ltd. at 299 Carling Avenue will deliver approximately 750 residential units and more than 55,741.8 m2 (600,000 sf) of mixed-use space.

The towers’ design is inspired by the organic curves of Dow’s Lake, featuring living facades, green roofs, natural materials, large windows, terraced balconies, and pedestrian-friendly pathways, while also paying homage to the city’s agrarian roots.
