Curbless shower areas have exploded in popularity in recent years for esthetic reasons and to assist homeowners with aging in-place or managing reduced mobility. One of the challenges with curbless showers is to effectively manage height changes between the bathroom and shower floors. To make this process easier, Schluter has developed six shower trays with
reduced thicknesses. These KERDI-SHOWER-TT trays feature perimeter heights of 26 mm (1 1/32 in.) or less to simplify the design and construction of curbless shower entries.
Schluter®-KERDI-SHOWER-T/-TS/- TT are sloped with integrated KERDI waterproofing, a pliable, sheet-applied, bonded waterproof membrane and vapor retarder. The trays are made of lightweight, expanded polystyrene (EPS) for constructing mortar-free shower bases. Each of these shower trays are designed to integrate with Schluter®-KERDI-DRAIN. The trays include a KERDI collar for completing the waterproofing to the Schluter®-KERDI-DRAIN bonding flange and create a completely sealed system.
One of the shower trays is a neo-angle tray with an off-centre drain placement so the drain is not situated where the user stands in the shower. It also has a consistent perimeter height of 26 mm, something that was not possible when cutting off the corner of a square tray.
