Roof Hugger’s metal-over-metal roof replacement is unique to the metal construction industry, where the existing metal roof remains in place and becomes part of the overall retrofit roof assembly. It attaches directly to the existing structural building purlins or joists and typically strengthens the existing roof system both from a gravity load and wind uplift capacity. Each project is designed to meet the new locally adopted building code requirements.
The product’s key benefits are:
- Existing metal roof remains in place;
- Increased thermal resistance whether insulated or not;
- New metal roof provides longest service life over other re-roofing methods;
- ASTM- and FM-tested and Florida Product approvals;
- Installation has very little disruption to building occupants; and
- Highly specified by federal, state, and local agencies and consultants.
