New appointment aims to strengthen public and institutional leadership

Kasian Architecture, Interior Design and Planning Ltd. recently appointed Arash Farbahi as principal, strengthening the firm’s leadership in public, institutional, and complex infrastructure projects across Canada.
Over the past 15 years, Farbahi has contributed to more than a dozen P3 procurements with a combined capital value exceeding $7 billion.
His experience spans health-care, justice, transit, and major civic infrastructure. Notable projects include the QEII Halifax Infirmary Expansion Project and Centre for Addiction and Mental Health (CAMH) Phase 1D Forensic Redevelopment in Toronto; the Stoney CNG Bus Storage and Transit Facility in Calgary; and the Jim Pattison Surrey Outpatient Facility in British Columbia. Additional experience includes the RCMP Division E Headquarters and multiple 2015 Pan Am and Parapan Am Games stadiums in Ontario.
Farbahi brings 25 years of experience in architecture, design management, and executive leadership, with a strong focus on alternative delivery and public-private partnership (P3) projects. He has held senior leadership roles at international firms, leading strategic pursuits, business growth, and the delivery of large-scale civic and institutional projects across Canada and the U.S.
