Aerolon is a
fluid-applied thermal break made with aerogel,
which is an ultra-low-density solid known for its insulating ability. It
controls thermal bridging and condensation to prevent corrosion and potential
mould formation within a building envelope.
It can also be a
far more cost-effective solution than installing structural break pads or
shims.
Architects and
engineers no longer need to modify designs or create complex workarounds to
avoid condensation issues. Aerolon addresses common thermal bridging areas such
as pass-through I-beams, fins, canopies, roof davits, parapets, shade louvres, and window
frames.
Among
the product’s key
benefits,
Aerolon:
- Prevents thermal bridging;
- Reduces condensation;
- Saves on labour costs;
- Is compatible with various primers;
- Meets Class
A via ASTM E84, Standard Test Method for
Surface Burning Characteristics of Building Materials; and can be easily
applied in high-build coats.
