Roland Charneux, P.Eng., LEED AP BD+C, director at Pageau Morel, has won the 2018 Grand Prix d’excellence, the highest distinction awarded by the Ordre des ingénieurs du Québec (OIQ) to one of its members.

Throughout his career, Charneux focused on designing energy efficient buildings. According to a statement by Pageau Morel, Charneux has left a significant legacy by mentoring and training a generation of young engineers. He has received more than 25 awards for projects he has worked on, including nine technology awards from the American Society of Heating, Refrigerating and Air-Conditioning Engineers (ASHRAE).

“Roland has significantly helped improve the field of building engineering, notably through his involvement within technical committees. He is the epitome of integrity and a reference for what an engineer should be throughout his or her career,” said Pageau Morel’s president Nicolas Lemire.
