SIBER FACADE GROUP INC. is hiring a Civil Engineering Technologist (NOC 22300)

Compensation: $38.00 per hour + extended health and medical benefits
Job type: Permanent, full-time (40 hours per week)

Requirements:

• Minimum 3 years of relevant experience in construction, façade systems, curtain wall, glazing, or building envelope projects.
• Good command of English.
• College diploma in civil engineering technology, construction engineering technology, architectural technology, or a related discipline.

Main duties:

• Develop conventional and computer-assisted design (CAD) engineering drawings and detailed construction drawings for curtain wall, window wall, glazing, and building envelope projects based on preliminary concepts, engineering designs, and project specifications.;
• Prepare construction specifications, material take-offs, cost estimates, project schedules, technical reports, and other project documentation.
• Verify field dimensions and existing site conditions to support engineering designs and fabrication.
• Coordinate with construction field inspectors, project managers, engineers, architects, and subcontractors to ensure construction activities comply with engineering designs, technical specifications, and quality requirements.
• Conduct technical site inspections to verify compliance with engineering drawings, specifications, and applicable building codes.
• Assist in resolving technical and construction-related issues identified during field inspections.
• Maintain engineering documentation, project records, and technical correspondence.
• Monitor construction progress and provide technical support throughout project execution.
• Ensure compliance with company quality assurance procedures, applicable building codes, and occupational health and safety requirements.
