A patch of land, formerly owned by Canada Lands Company, will be redeveloped by architecture firm Arcadis to include four mixed-use towers in Ottawa’s west end. Arcadis will also deliver civil, traffic, and planning services to the project.
Situated in the rapidly growing area of Little Italy, the project at 299 Carling Avenue will deliver approximately 750 residential units and more than 55,741.8 m2 (600,000 sf) of mixed-use space.
The towers’ design is inspired by the organic curves of Dow’s Lake, featuring living facades, green roofs, natural materials, large windows, terraced balconies, and pedestrian-friendly pathways, while also paying homage to the city’s agrarian roots.
