High Sierra Holdings Ltd. is hiring Stonemasons to perform jobs across Calgary and Banff, Alberta.

Wage: $40.00 per hour

Permanent, full-time position, 40 - 44 hours per week

Shifts: early morning, morning, days and weekends

Experience: 2 to 3 years

Language: English

Education: No degree, certificate or diploma required

Tasks:

• Prepare and lay bricks, concrete blocks, structural tiles or other masonry units
• Estimate materials, tools and equipment required for projects
• Lay bricks, stone or similar materials to provide veneer facing
• Construct and install prefabricated masonry units
• Build patios, garden walls and other decorative installations
• Read sketches and blueprints to calculate materials required
• Work at heights, on scaffolding or swing stages
• Cut and trim bricks and concrete blocks to specification using hand and power tools
• Lay bricks or other masonry units to build residential or commercial chimneys and fireplaces
• Restore, clean or paint existing masonry structures

Work site environment: work at heights, dusty and outdoors. Able to lift up 23 Kg (50lbs)

Work setting: residential and commercial sites, renovations, repairs, construction sites

Tools/equipment: must have hard hat, safety glasses/goggles, steel toed boots, safety gloves, and own transportation

Working conditions: physically demanding, handling heavy loads, standing for extended periods of time, bending, crouching and kneeling
