Key Duties and Responsibilities

• Review the detailer's drawings to make sure there are no errors and that they comply with Canadian and government standards;

• Release bar lists to be used for the manufacturing of reinforcing steel length, diameter, and bending requirements;

• Produce placing drawings according to Structural Drawings;

• Schedule and plan on-site delivery of rebar;

• Draft RFI’s to send to the client;

• Suggest and implement technical solutions to improve site and project challenge outcomes;

• Monitor drawing submission schedule according to the project schedule;

• Communicate regularly with Project Managers, Site Superintendents, and our Site Foremen.

Required Qualifications

• 3 years of experience in reviewing structural and architectural drawings to understand reinforcement requirements.

• Completion of a two- to three-year college program in a related field.

• Strong ability to visualize structural elements from drawings.

• Excellent mathematical skills and high attention to detail.

• Proven ability to gather data, compile information, and prepare clear reports.

• Very good verbal and written communication skills.

• Highly organized, autonomous, creative, flexible, and able to work under pressure.
