CentreCourt has officially broken ground on the first two residential towers at Pickering City Centre in Ontario, marking a milestone in the development of an ambitious mixed-use master plan.

The two condominium buildings, 40 and 45 storeys, will bring approximately 974 new homes to the city’s emerging downtown core.

In addition to the residential towers, more than $25 million in site servicing is now underway. This includes the construction of new roads and essential utilities that will support future phases of the community, as well as the development of City Centre Park, a major public amenity to be located on the west side of Glenanna Road, across from Pickering City Hall.

Once complete, Pickering City Centre will feature a 22-ha (55-acre) mixed-use community delivering 6,000 new homes across more than 10 towers. The plan also includes a revitalized shopping centre.

Designed by architecture firm Diamond Schmitt, the full vision features a network of wide streets, green spaces, and urban plazas, anchored by a landmark 55-storey tower—the tallest building in Pickering.
