The 2025 Times Higher Education (THE) Impact Rankings recognized Toronto Metropolitan University (TMU) for its contributions to the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDG).

In the newly released report, TMU moved into the 101–200 band, and the top 10 per cent, out of 2,318 ranked institutions worldwide.

TMU also demonstrates water leadership through its Urban Water research institute, low-flow fixtures in buildings, and campus-wide awareness campaigns.

The THE Impact Rankings measure how universities advance the UN’s 17 Sustainable Development Goals, which target urgent global challenges such as climate change, poverty, inequality, and education access.
