The Edmonton Chapter will have a breakfast meeting on September 15 at Chateau Louis Hotel & Conference Centre from 7:30 to 10 a.m. Leszek Kowalski will be presenting on “Mitigating Risk and Elevating Concrete Aesthetics.”
The Edmonton Chapter along with the Edmonton Construction Association (ECA) and the Canadian Institute of Quantity Surveyors (CIQS) is organizing the PEG, CSC & CIQS Golf Tournament on Thursday, August 23, at the Glendale Golf & Country Club from 7 a.m. to 3 p.m.
This year’s Construction Specifications Canada (CSC) National Conference will be hosted by the association’s Edmonton Chapter. Running May 23 to 27 at The Westin Edmonton Hotel, the event offers attendees numerous chances to build connections and learn new skills.
The Edmonton Chapter of CSC is inviting architects, engineers, building owners, general and trade contractors, manufacturers, and suppliers to attend a networking event on March 22 at Hudsons Canada’s Pub. On April 12, the chapter is organizing a plant tour of Building Products of Canada
The Edmonton Chapter of CSC is holding a breakfast meeting on February 15. Held at Chateau Louis Conference Centre, the event is expected to run from 7:30 to 10 a.m. Rafael Lucero (Alberta Infrastructure) will deliver a presentation on “New BIM Requirements at Alberta Infrastructure.”
On January 8, the Edmonton Chapter of CSC begins the spring 2018 edition of the Principles of Construction Documentation (PCD) and Construction Contract Administration (CCA) courses. Held at the office of DIALOG from 6 to 9 p.m., the PCD program runs for 10 weeks. The CCA course, held at IBI Group’s office, runs for 11 weeks
On January 8, the Edmonton Chapter of CSC will begin its Specifier (SP) and Technical Representative (TR) courses. Running from 6 to 9 p.m., the 15-week Specifier course will be held at Stantec and the 11-week TR program will be at Stoncor Group. The Chapter is also hosting a curling social. On January 18, it is hosting the 2018 CSC YEG Curling Funspiel at the Shamrock Curling Club. The event, which includes dinner, runs from 3:30 to 7:30 p.m.
On Thursday, November 23, the Edmonton Chapter is hosting a networking night at Metro Billiards from 5:30 to 8 p.m. MST. The Chapter is also organizing a breakfast meeting on December 14. Nick Trovato (Read Jones Christoffersen) will present on “Building Envelopes: What could possibly go wrong?”
