Registrations on for PEI mass timber workshop

Atlantic WoodWorks is organizing a mass timber workshop in Charlottetown on May 30.

Dominique Briand of Structure Fusion will be conducting a half-day workshop on mass timber May 30 at the Delta Prince Edward, Charlottetown. Organized by Atlantic WoodWorks[2], the workshop will run from 8 a.m. to 12 p.m. Simultaneous French translation is available.

Participants can learn basic mass timber design principles by working on real building project examples. Four hours of continuing education credits are available.

Atlantic WoodWorks[2] is also calling for submissions for its 2018 Wood Design Awards. The program recognizes excellence in wood construction and design, and honors the people and organizations showcasing and promoting the use of wood in Atlantic Canada.

The last day to submit is September 30. The awards will be handed out during an event in Halifax on December 5.
