Mixed-use towers designed around Montreal’s limited green space

Located at Peel and Ottawa streets in Montreal’s Griffintown district, Griffin Square is a mixed-use residential development comprising two 16- and 19-storey towers.
The site occupies a strategic position facing one of the area’s few planned green spaces, with Peel functioning as a primary north–south gateway into downtown and Ottawa serving as an emerging cultural and commercial corridor.
The project employs a dual-tower configuration connected by a glazed skybridge. The massing strategy emphasizes fragmented volumes, with the towers organized to frame a central courtyard and maximize permeability across the site.

Street-facing facades use dark cladding, while courtyard-facing facades are clad in lighter finishes to allow for more natural light penetration.
The towers are linked at the second level via a glass bridge, which houses shared amenities and provides a visual extension of the public realm into the building.
Griffin Square delivers 409 rental units, including studios, one- and two-bedroom apartments, and penthouses. The residential program is supported by a suite of shared amenities, including coworking spaces, lounge and communal kitchen, fitness and yoga facilities, two-level landscaped outdoor terrace with pool and relaxation areas, and rooftop terrace with city views.
This mix is designed to accommodate a range of residents and is developed in partnership by Mondev and Hillpark Capital.
