SIBER FACADE GROUP INC. is hiring a Construction Field Inspector (NOC 22233)

Compensation: $80,500 annually (approx. $38.70 per hour) + extended health and medical benefits
Job type: Permanent, full-time (40 hours per week)
Job location: Various locations across the Greater Vancouver Area, BC

Requirements:

• Minimum 2 years of relevant experience in construction inspection, quality control, or related construction work. Experience with curtain wall and glazing system installation is preferred.
• Good command of spoken and written English.
• College diploma or university degree in construction, civil engineering, architectural technology, or a related discipline.

Main duties:

• Inspect façade, window wall, and glazing installations to ensure compliance with construction drawings, project specifications, and SFG’s quality control procedures;
• Conduct field inspections at various stages of construction, from initial installation through project completion and occupancy;
• Review project documentation and maintain accurate records of inspection findings and site observations;
• Identify deficiencies or non-conforming work and document recommended corrective actions;
• Verify that corrective work has been completed in accordance with project specifications and quality standards;
• Participate in inspections prior to testing of building envelope systems, including preparation for water testing procedures;
• Investigate service requests related to installed façade and glazing systems and document inspection findings;
• Prepare internal reports and maintain inspection records, including photographs and supporting documentation;
• Liaise with project team members, consultants, and subcontractors to address quality issues and support successful project completion;
• Ensure that all inspection activities are carried out in compliance with applicable safety regulations and company procedures.
