Burkholder Buildings is a family-owned company based in Hines Creek, Alberta. We build high quality portable buildings and sheds to meet our client’s home and storage needs. We offer a wide variety of portable building styles, in a range of colours, and we welcome custom orders.

Job Duties

• Read and interpret drawings and measure wood and other materials to size.
• Use a variety of electric and hand tools to shape, cut and assemble wood and other materials in accordance with project specifications.
• Build portable sheds and other wood structures.
• Fit and install doors, window trims, roof beams and other hardware.
• Assist with managing project workflow to ensure production schedules are met.
• Check work progress to ensure that it meets quality standards, codes and specifications.
• Adhere to all health and safety procedures.
• May assist with renovation projects and small structure additions on residential and commercial properties that require carpentry work.

Employment Requirements

Education

• Completion of secondary school.

Experience

• Minimum of three years of carpentry experience.
• Experience in manufacturing portable buildings is considered an asset.

Language

• English language ability.

Skills and Tools

• Good attention to detail.
• Ability to use hand tools.
• Must be dependable and reliable.
• Ability to walk, stand and kneel for long periods of time.
• Good manual dexterity.
• Excellent oral communication.
• Must have own basic hand tools of cordless drill, impact driver, and saws.

Wage

• $36.50 per hour.

Location of Work

• On-site at 851059 RG Rd 62, Hines Creek, AB T0H 2A0, Canada
• Must have the ability to occasionally travel to client sites across Peace Country, Alberta.
• Access to a pickup truck to transport supplies and tools to job sites would be an asset.
