Requirements:

·         No degree, certificate, or diploma required

·         2 or more years of roofing experience

·         Working knowledge of different roofing systems

·         Ability to lift heavy materials and operate powered hand tools

Responsibilities:

·         Inspect the structure of roofs to assess and determine the most suitable course of action

·         Measure and cut materials to ensure secure fitting around vents, gutters, chimneys, and walls

·         Prepare roof surfaces by smoothing out rough spots, ready for the installation of new shingles or waterproofing

·         Replace damaged or rotting areas of clients' roofs

·         Install vapor barriers and insulation to enhance the waterproofing seal

·         Safely set up ladders, scaffolding, and hoisting equipment as necessary

·         Estimate materials required and prepare quotes

·         Regularly update the supervisor on job progress and promptly report any job-related issues

·         Safely transport all necessary equipment and materials to job sites
