Hi-Tek Drywall & Acoustics was founded in 1986 with over 36 years of history leading the construction sub-trade industry in regular and structural steel studs framing, drywall, insultation, plastering, acoustical ceilings and systems, and interior/exterior stucco systems for commercial, institutional, industrial and multi-unit residential projects. Since inception, Hi-Tek’s family-run business in London, Ontario has been premier in drywall, steel stud and stucco (EIFS) and we have revitalized stucco for the future.  

As we have increasingly more projects operating in London, Hi-Tek is urgently looking for dynamic Drywall and Acoustic Board Installer Helpers to join our team! This will be a full-time, permanent position with paid on-the-job training.

Key Responsibilities:

- Load and unload construction materials

- Erect and dismantle drywall as instructed by site supervisor

- Measure, cut, fit and install drywall sheets

- Fill joints, nail indentations, holes and cracks with joint compound using trowel and broad knife

- Position and secure sheets to metal or joists

- Smooth out excess compound and allow coat to dry

- Apply coats of compound and sand seams and joints

- Remove rubble and other debris at construction sites

- Fabricate and install suspended metal ceiling grids and place in panels to form acoustical and coffered ceilings

- Perform other duties at construction sites as directed

Requirements:

- No degree, certificate or diploma is required

- Paid on-the-job training will be provided, previous relevant experience preferred but not required

- Physically demanding, should handle weight up to 23kg (50lbs)
