CSC Vancouver: Concrete Sustainability

Tomorrow, CSC's Vancouver Chapter is hosting a breakfast meeting discussion on the greening of Division 03.

First, Rob Asquith and Bryan Russell, LEED AP (Lehigh Cement), examine the use of portland limestone cement (PLC) in B.C. projects. This will be followed by Todd Krusewski, P.Eng., MBA (Cement Association or Canada), talking about pervious concrete pavements, which are gaining wide acceptance due to water runoff concerns.

The event, which qualifies for Architectural Institute of British Columbia (AIBC) and RCI International credits, will be held Thursday, February 16, at the Sandman Hotel (180 West Georgia St.) from 7 to 9 a.m. The cost is $32 for pre-registered CSC members and $48 for non-members.
