| Daylighting talks in Hamilton/Niagara this summer |
|
CSC's Hamilton/Niagara chapter is offering the same daylighting lunch seminar twice this summer, providing design/construction professionals more opportunity for green professional development. The talk, which covers polycarbonate skylights, light walls, canopies, and walkway covers, will be held on two Thursdays—July 15 and August 12—at the Royal Canadian Legion (828 Legion Road) in Burlington, Ont. Speaker Blair Davies (Engineered Assemblies) will discuss how polycarbonate compares to glass in terms of insulation, light quality, and price, along with various esthetic capabilities. To illustrate these points, he will also use case studies such as the Richmond Skating Oval in British Columbia and various schools. For either date, registration begins at 11:30 a.m., with lunch at noon and the presentation lasting until 2 p.m. Cost is $25, and reservations can be made through Terry Johnson, FCSC, via e-mail at This e-mail address is being protected from spambots.
