| New Brunswick firm goes global: ADI Ltd. joins Trow engineering |
Photo courtesy ADI–Trow Global The $9.2-million E. John Bliss Water Treatment Plant represents the largest single infrastructure construction project undertaken by the City of Fredericton in many years. ADI Limited was selected to provide 'source-to-tap' concept presentations, process selection and design, architectural design, contract administration, construction services, and commissioning. ADI was awarded the Mayor's Development Award for Architectural/Design and Landscaping in recognition of the building's melding with the local historic area. Consulting engineering firm ADI Limited has joined the international network of Trow Global—a Canadian firm of engineers and consultants headquartered in Brampton, Ont. Vlad Stritesky, Trow Global president and CEO, said the additional expertise and East Coast presence of Frederiction-based ADI will enhance engineering capabilities for both current and future clients. "The addition of ADI offers greater capabilities to our client base in Atlantic Canada and creates a coast-to-coast Canadian presence for Trow Global," he explained. ADI has extensive in-house experience in geotechnical, civil, structural, architectural, mechanical, and electrical engineering, as well as quality control/assurance and materials testing. The firm, which will continue to operate under its current name as a Trow Global company, was recently divested by its parent company, ADI Group, whose remaining subsidiaries offer geomembrane covers/liners and industrial wastewater treatment technologies. The move was indicative of changing times in the industry, said ADI Group CEO Hollis Cole. "There has been a growing trend of consolidation in the consulting engineering industry," he explained. "While ADI Limited has done extremely well as an independent firm, we feel quite strongly that even more opportunities exist for them and their clients as part of an international network." Trow Global has offices around the world and performs engineering and consulting work for both private and public projects.
