Construction Canada magazine will be co-sponsoring a series of seminars dealing with aspects of the building envelope. At the country's largest annual show about the built environment, Construction Canada magazine is co-presenting a series of technical presentations dealing with the building envelope. Sponsored in conjunction with the Ontario Building Envelope Council (OBEC), Construct Canada's Building Envelope Solutions stream includes seminars such as "New Approaches in Curtain Wall Design and Construction," "Can You Eliminate the Vapour Barrier?" and "Toronto's New Green Roof Bylaw." (For a full list of the 17 presentations, see the November issue of Construction Canada.) From December 2 to 4, Construct Canada is expected to bring together approximately 20,000 architects, engineers, specifiers, contractors, owners, and developers at the Metro Toronto Convention Centre. More than 1050 exhibits, 450 speakers, and 200 sessions and technical updates are planned. Other education program streams include "Regulatory and Risk Management Issues" and "Project Delivery." The event will also be hosting roundtables on interior design and international architecture, along with the 5th annual National Green Building Conference, which focuses on energy efficiency and sustainability topics.
