LEED integration discussion hosted by CSC Hamilton/Niagara

On Thursday, January 15, Construction Specifications Canada's (CSC's) Hamilton/Niagara Chapter is hosting a dinner presentation on the challenges facing design firms when implementing Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED).

Two representatives from Cohos Evamy's Toronto office—David Wilson, RSW, FCSC, LEED AP, and Craig Applegath, PPOAA, FRAIC, LEED AP—will discuss the value of the integrated design approach in achieving sustainable buildings. By highlighting lessons learned from past projects, they will explore LEED's implications on design and construction. The speakers will also focus on the important role played by the specifications in obtaining certification.

Held at the Royal Canadian Legion in Burlington, Ont. (828 Legion Road), the event is intended for specifiers, architects, engineers, contractors, and building management. It qualifies for Ontario Association of Architects (OAA) self-directed hours. The event kicks off at 5 p.m., with cash-bar cocktails followed by dinner and the presentation. Admission is $40, payable at the door. For more information, contact Terry Johnson, FCSC, via e-mail at This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it .
