NRC-IRC residential seminars finding homes across Canada

Designers working on low-rise residential projects can benefit from information provided at new National Research Council's Institute for Research in Construction (NRC-IRC) seminars.

New research about the design and construction of low-rise residential buildings will be presented at Building Science Insight (BSI) seminars held in the fall and winter throughout Canada.

The National Research Council's Institute for Research in Construction (NRC-IRC) series, "Single and Multi-family Houses: Improving Performance Through a Systems Approach," will share the latest information on topics ranging from high-performance windows and HVAC to fire-resistant components, acoustics, and livable basements.

The sessions will be held throughout the country. Locations include:

• Edmonton (October 3);
• Burnaby, B.C. (October 6);
• Whitehorse (October 8);
• Mississauga, Ont. (November 4);
• Iqaluit (November 6);
• Winnipeg (November 17);
• Calgary (November 19);
• Saskatoon (November 21);
• St. John's, N.L. (December 2);
• Halifax (December 4);
• Moncton, N.B.—bilingual (January 13);
• Ottawa—bilingual (January 15);
• Sainte Foy, Que.—French (February 3); and
• Montreal—bilingual (February 5).
